A WHOLE-OF-DELIVERY PERSPECTIVE

HOUSING DELIVERY. INDUSTRIALISED CONSTRUCTION. BETTER SYSTEMS.

Why building faster is only part of the housing delivery challenge.
Rebecca Lloyd-Jones speaks about housing delivery as an interconnected system, examining why projects stall, what prevents approved housing becoming completed homes, and how Modern Methods of Construction can be integrated into mainstream development and delivery.

WHAT AUDIENCES CAN EXPECT

Housing Delivery Speaker
Rebecca Lloyd-Jones presenting at prefabAUS, Offsite26

Rebecca brings a whole-of-delivery perspective to housing, connecting development, finance, planning, procurement, design, construction and industrialised delivery to examine what determines whether projects move successfully from concept to completion.

Her presentations draw on development experience, current industry research and the work of the Housing Delivery Lab, Travaux’s research arm, with particular focus on:

  • Housing delivery — what happens between approval and completed homes.
  • Modern Methods of Construction — where MMC can improve delivery and what needs to change around it for adoption at scale.
  • Development and delivery systems — the interfaces, constraints and decisions that affect project outcomes.

CURRENT RESEARCH

Rebecca’s current work through the Housing Delivery Lab investigates the systems, constraints and evidence shaping
Australian housing delivery.

about Rebecca

Rebecca Lloyd-Jones is a Development Strategist, housing delivery adviser and founder of Travaux and the Housing Delivery Lab.

Her work examines the decisions, constraints and interfaces that determine whether housing moves successfully from concept to completion.

With a background across property development, feasibility, planning, construction and design, Rebecca brings a whole-of-system perspective to housing delivery and has developed particular expertise in the adoption and integration of Modern Methods of Construction.

Her approach is independent and evidence-led. Rather than advocating for one construction method, she asks where different approaches can genuinely improve delivery and what needs to change around them for that improvement to occur.
