latest midcentury style furniture & decor releases

if you’re furnishing, renovating or updating a midcentury-style home, I’ve collected the latest decor and lighting that you’re going to love! I know it can seem a bit scary to buy furniture online or buy furniture overseas, but if you’re trying to get vintage midcentury pieces or new classics in the midcentury style there isn’t much to choose from here in Australia.

Buying ‘replicas’ is something I will not do, nor will 99% of interior designers, for so many reasons and my advice is to steer clear of ‘replica’ furniture because you’re not doing yourself or designers any favours – feel free to get in touch if you want to chat about it and I’d be happy to advise you on the best options for collecting new classics or finding original vintage pieces…

anyhow… here are the latest midcentury style furniture and lighting I’ve collected from europe that you’ll adore! I’m not expecting that the majority of people will feel comfortable buying furniture and shipping it here all the way from italy or london, but by working with an interior designer this is just one of the services that we can provide in order to help you find the perfect piece or pieces for your home. and most interior designers will be able to access trade prices, saving you money as well!

just get in touch via email and we can discuss any of these pieces and timelines for delivery, prices and anything else you’d like to know more about.

enjoy!

amy table lamp

this light was inspired by one of the greatest british singers and songwriters of all time, sadly with us no longer. the glossy black lampshade resembles her iconic hairstyle and the small brass details are reminders of her gold earrings. with a gold-plated finish and glossy black body this small reading lamp is perfect for the bedroom or home office

simone floor lamp

inspired by nina simone, designers took a classic midcentury silhouette and reimagined it for today. this lamp ticks all the boxes for style and substance with a handmade brass structure and glossy shades and red textile covered wiring bringing a fun and subtle pop of colour

hudson armchair

the hudson has beautiful lines and a classic midcentury look; made from solid walnut with metal ‘shoes’ and legs made of polished brass

basie table lamp

the basie lamp is handmade in brass with an aluminium shade and marble base and a top cover that can be customised in a large number of colours. this lamp looks best in a living room or entryway

charlotte armchair

contemporary, modern armchair with customisable fabric options and polished brass and gloss black legs

Dispatches

Every month I’ll compare what economists, investors, researchers and industry professionals are seeing on the ground, then step back and ask a different question:

What does this actually mean for housing delivery?

Research Collaboration

I’m currently researching Australia’s housing delivery system across both traditional and industrialised construction.

If you’re working on projects, research, data or ideas that could contribute to a better understanding of housing delivery, project readiness or development decision-making, I’d love to hear from you.
