Dulux Autumn 2022 Colour Forecast, Australia
The Dulux 2022 Autumn Flourish Palette

This colour palette is rich and sensual with colours that feel earthy and real evoking memories of travels to exotic places. We all know that different colours bring entirely different feelings to a room so why not make a change to something more sophisticated and rich for the chilly months we have ahead?

liberate your style

If you’re looking for a beautiful warm combination try Murray Red as an accent colour with larger swathes of Discretion or Basic Coral and some pops of White Dune Quarter. All of the colours in this palette work perfectly with anything vintage or midcentury and when combined will bring your home a sense of depth and history. The beautiful deep grey blue Dark Door combined with the lighter Benang will give a feeling of depth to your room but keep your palette cool making it work year round in Melbourne regardless of how hot the actual temperature may rise.

welcome home

Dulux Basic Coral is a light, dusty rose colour that works beautifully anywhere you need some warmth like the bedroom or dining room. By adding White Dune Quarter on the trims and ceiling and you’ll have a wonderfully inviting room to relax in. Clay Pipe Half and Bongo Drum are warmer neutrals in the palette and paired with Red Terra, Murray Red or Discretion are just what you need to bring a cozy feeling to a bedroom or living space.

keep it sophisticated

Benang, Kenepuru Sound and Dark Door are the cool trio of blues in this palette and combined with Murray Red or Clay Pipe Half and a dash of Gold Vintage will give you a beautifully sophisticated and rich room. Add a marble topped coffee table or console, some deep blue accessories or textiles and a few pops of gold here and there and your update is complete.

samples are your friend

You can purchase sample pots from the Dulux website or your local paint supplier but if that’s too messy Dulux also sell A4 size sample stickers or large colour swatch cards that you can pop onto your wall to see how your colours look at home at different times of the day.

Paint is the easiest and most cost-effective way to make a big change to a room and you shouldn’t be scared of colour! Remember paint isn’t a change you have to live with forever if you hate it. Change things up as you want and I promise you a splash of colour in a room will bring you so much joy and change the way you see your home. Don’t forget to follow my ‘Latest Colour Releases’ Pinterest board – you can see it below – and let me know if you decide to try any of these beautiful colours because I’d love to see what you create!
